Full-time three year contract available from 1 September 2007

Applications are invited for the position of University Fellow, to develop and pursue a research project related to the core concerns of the Experience and Meaning in Music Performance project.  This interdisciplinary project is pursued by a team of researchers working in close collaboration, employing a combination of methods including ethnography, video-based observational analysis and the analysis of timing data in the study of musical performance (see www.open.ac.uk/Arts/experience for further details).

You will have a PhD awarded in a relevant subject and a commitment to developing and pursuing academic research of the highest quality.  Your research should complement that currently being pursued in the Experience and Meaning in Music Performance project, extending its scope in terms of theory, method and/or the repertory considered.
