Outside South Wales, Brogdens had interests in the port of Penzance (for coal import), Shaugh iron mine near Plymouth (which has extensive opencut workings, on private ground), Constantine iron mine (also called Brogden Mine) in Cornwall (Engine Shaft tip only remains), and Langley Barony lead mine in Northumberland (which has good remains and a Brogden Shaft). They probably had other interests in the South West as they employed a mining agent to oversee all their interests in Cornwall.

interests in South Wales. These were most noticeably the Tondu Iron Works
and involvement in the Port & town of Porthcawl. I believe they were also
involved in the railways and of course the coal (and Iron?) mines in the
Bridgend area.

As well as the Tondu site & Porthcawl itself are there any sites with a
Brogden connection that can be visited?
