Greetings...I have been asked by my parish to put together a meditation on the penultimate statement of Jesus before his death, viz., "I thirst." I am interested in drawing on a) the medieval notion of "thirsting" as such and b) any of the medieval commentaries on the gospel text (John 19:28). Any suggestions? Patrick Hayes
