International Summer School of POLITICAL COMMUNICATION and ELECTORAL BEHAVIOUR (Milan, Italy July 2-6). Among the lecturers: Delli Carpini, Donsbach, Mancini, Mazzoleni, Neveu, Pasquino, Sanders, Schulz. It is open to 30 doctoral students or young researchers. The deadline for applications is April 27. More information at: www.sociol.unimi.it/altrisiti/polcomm The aim of the School is to highlight and discuss the main theoretical and research questions regarding the relation between political communication scholarship and political science/political sociology perspectives with a special focus on the influence of communication factors on political and electoral behaviour. The School intends also to promote high-level reflection on the current state of knowledge about political communication by asking a number of internationally renowned scholars to interact with the participants through lectures and workshops. The topics to be covered include: media-politics interaction patterns, campaign communication, news coverage of elections, campaign effects on knowledge and participation, and voting patterns.
