I think this is a fab example of why Embase is a good backup to Medline - I'm planning on showing our users examples and this is great!

How about this?

EMBASE - 1974 to date (EMZZ)
Title
Revascularisation after amputation due to vascular disease.
Title in original lang.
ZUM PROBLEM DER DIREKTEN REVASKULARISATION CHRONISCH-ISCHAMISCHER AMPUTATIONSSTUMPFE.
Author(s)
Rendl-K-H, Prenner-K.
Source
Vasa - Journal of Vascular Diseases {VASA-J-VASC-DIS}, 1980, Vol/Iss /Pg. 9/1 (34-37).
Abstract
This is a report about three patients who were operated by direct revascularisation of the amputation stump because of obstructed pelvic and thigh vessels. The operation seems indicated especially for those patients wearing their prosthesis all day and complaining about a phase IIb (Fontaine), but is also indicated for patients with phase III and IV, as circumstances permit, as the shortening of the stump reduces the mobility and, as a consequence, the way of life of the patient. The method of the operation is the subject of discussion. Due to limited outflow, too radical reconstructions should not be used and heteroplastic material should be avoided in the groin.

Subject: Friday query - for VASA: Zeitschrift fur Gefasskrankheiten

Somewhat of a long shot, so I hope someone can help.

I am trying to find an abstract for a paper in the journal VASA: Zeitschrift fur Gesfasskrankheiten (Journal for vascular diseases).

We want to know if the paper is worth obtaining before we apply to the British Library as it is in German!

So - the paper is:  The problem of direct revascularisation of chronically ischaemic amputation stumps.  Rendl-K.  1980 9 (1):  34-7.

I have not been able to find an abstract anywhere!
Can anyone help or advise.

Thanks
Sam
