Dear Colleague This new JISC Legal Webcast on 16th May may be of interest for IT Managers and staff. http://www.jisclegal.ac.uk/Webcast/index.html ********** As a member of IT staff in a UK college or university, you may be able to access the personal disk space and personal web space for staff and students at your institution. In addition you may be able to access the email boxes and records of web pages visited by staff and students. You will want to know when and how it is legal to access another person's email account, computer hard drive or network storage. Reasons for doing this might be related to long term staff absence, student disciplinary investigation, and even antivirus scanning. Other examples include criminal investigations. ********** Diary Date: e-Fair 2007 is at Easton College on 6th July http://info.rsc-eastern.ac.uk/events/event_details.asp?eid=351 Keep up to date with e-bytes for free http://www.jiscmail.ac.uk/lists/e-bytes.html Why not try our Eastern Region RSS Feeds for News and Events? http://www.rsc-eastern.ac.uk/RSC_files/News/rssfeeds.htm regards Maryse ************************************ Maryse Fisher e-Learning Advisor JISC Regional Support Centre - Eastern Anglia Ruskin University CU House Southernhay, Basildon, Essex, SS14 1EZ Tel: 01268 273277 Mobile: 07919 392778 Fax: 01268 293145 http://www.rsc-eastern.ac.uk ************************************ This e-mail and any attachments are intended for the above named recipient(s) only and may be privileged.
