British Geophysical Association Post-Graduate Research in Progress Meeting, Cardiff University,

The BGA is holding its annual Post-graduate research in progress meeting this year at Cardiff
University.

The conference is aimed at post-graduates at all stages of their studies.  We encourage all
students to attend as it will provide an excellent opportunity to meet fellow peers and will be a
friendly environment to present research.  We invite abstracts for both oral and poster
presentations.

The conference is open to all aspects of geophysics; mantle modelling, planetary science,
tectonics, climate change, geodesy, geomagnetism and palaeomagnetism, geophysical modelling,
geodynamics, seismology, physical oceanography, hydrology, glaciology, petrophysics, atmospheric
science, land use monitoring and management, geoenvironmental techniques, geoarchaeology and 3D
seismic interpretation.

Two invited speakers have been confirmed:
The annual Bullerwell Lecture will be given by Dr. Glenn Milne (Durham University); Climate driven
sea-level change.
The second invited speaker is Dr. Gareth Collins (Imperial College); Impact crater modelling

Accommodation will be provided by Cardiff University at affordable rates.  Please see the web site
for further details.  An exciting conference dinner and social programme will be held on Monday the
3rd September.
