This
workshop will give an update on the emerging policies for the management of
Intellectual Property (IP) and key issues relating to Knowledge Transfer (KT) in
Higher Education Institutions – coupled with an opportunity to network with
professionals. Best practice and guidance will be shared on how to develop and
embed policies for handling IP rights & KT arising from research programmes
with PG Research Students, Post-Docs and academic supervisors. Case studies will
be discussed and evaluated in small group format covering:
The
differing perspectives of key stakeholders, including the Research Councils, the
Charitable Institutions, Commercial Enterprises and HEIs will be reviewed and
guidance on best practice available will be identified.
This
programme has been designed for professionals who are managing, supporting or
supervising PG Research Students and/or Post Docs, including Senior Administrators involved
in managing IPR & KT, Graduate Deans, Principal Investigators managing Post
Docs, PG Research Supervisors, Research Managers, Administrative and Staff
