Canadian Disability Studies Association
4th Annual Conference
Saturday, May 26th & Sunday, May 27th,
University of Saskatchewan
Saskatoon, Saskatchewan, Canada

SECOND CALL FOR POSTERS

The poster session, which will take place alongside paper presentations at the
CDSA, encourages and supports undergraduate and graduate students who have not
participated in an academic conference before to participate in the conference.
Moreover, the poster session is an opportunity to foster networking and
dialogue between students, professors, professionals and/or disabled activists
working on issues pertaining to disability studies. The poster session is not
exclusive to student participation; disability activists, artists and faculty
are also encouraged to participate.

Unfortunately, the CDSA does not have funding available to support presenters,
however, participants will receive a letter from the CDSA confirming their
participation in the conference which will allow them to apply for funding from
the applicable organization or institution.

Abstracts of 150 words should describe research in progress or completed
research projects (keeping in mind that the poster session is a time to receive
feedback from others) and describe how it contributes to the field of disability
studies. Posters that address disability activism, art and/ or culture are
welcomed. People in disciplines outside of disability studies are also
encouraged to participate. Following the 150 word abstract, a 100 word
description of the format of your poster must be included, describing how your
poster will be accessible to everyone at the conference. Poster size cannot
exceed 3 x 5 feet.

Abstracts should be sent by Tuesday, April 24, 2007 to Jennifer Paterson, CDSA
National Student Representative.
