Does anybody have any University guidelines on students declaring a disability for a clinical placement in advance of that placement? The Clinical Managers Group ( for the 4 Universities in our region) have raised a query as there is a potential 'fit for practice' issue arising when there has been no declaration and students are placed in a situation where health and safety issues may arise effecting patient care. The Group have said they would like to know in advance any disability, including dyslexia. Has any experience of this situation?
