Derbyshire Record Office is a county archive service which in 2006 achieved a three-star rating - the highest - in the national self-assessment exercise. We are now seeking an enthusiastic, flexible and self-motivated archivist to join our team in Derbyshire Record Office which is located in Matlock in the heart of the Peak District  You will share in the full range of duties in a busy county record office including Search Room tasks, access and website development and collections management.

You will have a strong commitment to public services, a recognised postgraduate qualification in archive management, good ICT skills and a knowledge of EAD. Experience in using CALM 2000 and web server modules such as Dserve is desirable. 
Hours average 37 hours per week. Some flexible working involving Saturdays will be required. This is a permanent post suitable for a recently qualified archivist and appropriate training will be given.  Consideration will be given to applicants who expect to complete recognised archive management courses in 2007.
