The Department of Information Studies, University of Wales Aberystwyth, in collaboration with MLA Yorkshire have been awarded an AHRC Collaborative Doctoral studentship for:

Making a Difference: Realising the Cultural Value of Archives

The studentship starts in September 2007, and the award will carry a stipend of approx £1000 above the normal AHRC studentship. The project may be based in Aberystwyth during the first year, but in subsequent years will focus on professional practice in Yorkshire.  The successful candidate will be supervised by staff from the Department of Information Studies and MLA Yorkshire.   For further information see:  http://www.dis.aber.ac.uk/en/about/ahrc2007.asp 

Applicants should have a good 2:1 or 1st class undergraduate degree, and ideally a postgraduate qualification in Archives and Records Management.  Students should also meet the eligibility requirements of the Arts and Humanities Research Council (AHRC).
