Dear List Member, A selection of the papers presented at the ESTS conference on "Textual Scholarship and the Material Book: Comparative Approaches" in November 2006 will be published in Variants 6 (2007). An invitation has gone out to all conference participants to submit revised versions of their presentation before 15 April. Submissions from other scholars closely addresssing the themes of the conference are welcome too. If you want to remind yourself of the aims and purposes of the conference, please have another look at the website ( http://ies.sas.ac.uk/events/conferences/2006/ESTS/index.htm). Preference will be given to papers which take a "comparative" approach or consider possible rapprochements between textual studies and book studies. Essays may be submitted electronically ([log in to unmask]) and must be in Microsoft Word or a compatible format. A brief stylesheet is attached.
