The Department of Geography at Leicester anticipates making four
appointments in Human Geography.

Post 1: New Blood Lecturer in Geography: This post is part of a
University-wide scheme to attract leading researchers to Leicester. The
post is on the Lecturer Grade 8 scale and benefits from reduced teaching
loads, study leave and start-up funding. For further details visit:
www.le.ac.uk/newblood. The area of specialisation is open to anyone who
can compliment our main research themes. For more details on our
teaching and research please visit: www.le.ac.uk/geography. The deadline
for applications is 20th March 2007.

Post 2 & 3. Permanent posts at Senior Lecturer (Grade 9) and Lecturer
(Grade 8), as above, but under normal terms and conditions. Further
particulars will be available next week from the Department web pages.
Applicants for the New Blood post are also encouraged to apply for the
Lectureship. The deadline for applications is 27th April 2007.

Post 4. A temporary lectureship (Grade 8) for the period 1st September
2007 to 31st July 2008, to provide maternity and study leave cover. The
postholder will be given ample time to work on their research and this
post would suit candidates nearing completion of their PhD or those who
have just completed their PhD. The deadline for applications is 27th
April 2007.
