Subject: Job Adverts

I am pleased to attach 2 job adverts together with the full job descriptions for the following 2 posts:

1. Cancer Research UK (CRUK) – Senior Nurse, Research & Information

The Wales Cancer Trials Network (WCTN) was set up and funded jointly by the National Assembly for Wales and Cancer Research UK.  Its aim is to improve the care of cancer patients by improving the speed, quality, and integration of clinical cancer research in Wales.  Particular attention is given to increasing access to and participation in clinical trials in cancer in line with national targets.  The CR-UK has secured funding for a Senior Research and Information Nurse within the WCTN.

2. Research Network Development Manager -  Primary Care

The Clinical Research Collaboration Cymru (CRC Cymru) is a new and exciting collaborative venture to provide an internationally competitive research infrastructure for health and social care and thereby to improve the health and wealth of the people of Wales. CRC Cymru is funded by the National Assembly for Wales through the Wales Office of Research and Development in Health and Social Care (WORD).  The CRC Cymru Co-ordinating Centre (CC) has been commissioned by WORD to establish and manage specific elements of the new research support infrastructure in Wales: a training and development programme; research professional network and involving people network.  The postholder will be responsible for developing and implementing an effective research professional network in Primary Care across Wales.
