Apologies for my carelessness, as Linda Lisgarten has helpfully pointed the date's for Jane R's celebration evening were different in the subject line and in the text. The correct date is Thursday March 15th - Thursday week. Apologies again, Tony Tony McSean Director of Library Relations Elsevier 32 Jamestown Road London NW1 7BY +44 7795 960516 +44 20 7424 4242 From: UK medical/ health care library community / information workers [mailto:[log in to unmask]] On Behalf Of Mcsean, Tony (ELS) Sent: 02 March 2007 15:19 To: [log in to unmask] Subject: Jane Rowlands Celebration Evening, March 16th As you will know from my previous postings Jane Rowlands died last month at the shockingly young age of 43, and her funeral took place last week in Essex. Her friends in London thought of holding a memorial event in her honour. But this really isn't in keeping with Jane's high-energy party-loving (alright, wild ) nature, so what we have done is booked the upstairs room at a pub near the BMA: http://www.beerintheevening.com/pubs/s/30/30700/Marquis_of_Cornwallis/Bl oomsbury <http://www.beerintheevening.com/pubs/s/30/30700/Marquis_of_Cornwallis/B loomsbury> from 5pm on the evening of Thursday, March 15th. It will be an informal affair, but it will be a chance for Jane's friends and her London-based family to get together, have a few drinks and swap stories and memories of someone who had a special place in so many hearts. It's certainly and without any question what she would have wanted, so if you knew Jane and would like to join in a retrospective wake in her memory and honour - then just come along and join us.
