For possible interest and/or knowledge of all generally, and for the carto-philateltic community specifically, all six new postage stamps in commemoration of the above subject were illustrated (enlarged) in colour with a journalist's notes (?) - under title 'Saviours of the slaves : the stories behind six stamps that celebrate abolitionists' - in 'The Independent' (London), Friday, 23 March 2007.  Each stamp has the words 'Abolition of the slave trade 1807'.

One of the two 1st Class value stamps depicts a b&w portrait of Olaudah Equiano (1745-97) superimposed on a mono(purple)-coloured 18th-century map of the Atlantic Ocean framed by the American and the European & African continents; Latin language, but title etc. obscured or deleted - doubtless the Royal Mail publicity machine reveals the facts or someone can 'reveal all'?
