Marian –
the pre-Alpine Sondalo gabbroic complex in the
Italian Central-Eastern Alps occupies an area of
about 35 km2 and it is mostly amphibole-gabbro.

You may have a look at
R. Tribuzio, M.F. Thirlwall, B. Messiga, Contrib
Mineral Petrol (1999) 136: 48-62

These two papers deal with the country rocks
Braga, R., Callegari, A., Messiga, B., Ottolini,
L., Renna, M.R., Tribuzio R., 2003. European
Journal of Mineralogy, 15, 393-400.

Braga, R., Giacomini, F., Messiga, B., Tribuzio,
R., 2001. Physics and Chemistry of the Earth, (part A), 26, 333-342.

Hope this helps
