enquire is one strand of Strategic Commissioning for Museum and Gallery Education, which aims to increase capacity among museums and galleries to deliver more and increasingly effective learning opportunities for children and young people. enquire is providing professional development and carrying out research into the learning benefits to young people of engaging with contemporary art, galleries and artists through seven clusters of galleries, colleagues in universities, artists and teachers between 2004 and 2008.
enquire now seeks to appoint specialists who can bring particular expertise to this national programme over the next year, and work with the Programme Director to maximise the impact and influence of this important work.
