Abolition of slavery - events listings

Dear All -

Thanks very much to everyone who helped me out back in January with directions to websites listing events to mark the bicentenary of the abolition of slavery. And big apologies for not updating the list sooner with the useful advice that I was given.

There are central listings available at the following places online (which I'm sure many of you are already aware of): www.direct.gov.uk/en/slavery/index.htm; www.setallfree.net; and www.antislavery.org/2007

I have also added some listings onto our YAC website too: www.britarch.ac.uk/yac (under "What's New") - I'm sure that my list on the YAC website is far from comprehensive, so if you are running events or exhibitions at any point over the next year do let me know and I'll add details. I'm especially interested in family events, or exhibitions that have a degree of interactivity.

And finally, many thanks again to everyone who provided me with information about their events - further proof of the great value of the list!

Happy Monday everyone.

Best wishes

Nicky
