RESEARCH FELLOWSHIP IN MOOD DISORDERS, FUNCTIONAL NEUROMODULATION AND NEUROIMAGING
The Brain Stimulation Laboratory and the Mood Disorders Program at MUSC offer a 1 to 2 year clinical research fellowship in a variety of brain stimulation techniques (TMS, DBS, VNS and ECT) focused on treatment resistant depression. The group is a leading authority in translational neuromodulation research in psychiatric disorders. The group is particularly interested in elucidating the underlying neurobiology of mood disorders and the putative mechanisms of action of antidepressants. The ultimate goal of the fellowship is to develop skills to become an independent researcher.
Applicants should have completed a Psychiatry residency by July 2007 and be eligible for medical licensure in the state of South Carolina. Prior research experience is encouraged. Salary will be at PG-V level with benefits package.
