The Organisational Analysis Research Group Presents... John Cawdell, Lindum Group, UK A Business Response to the Topic, 'Responsible Organization?' Next Week / 4th April Starts 4:30pm Abstract John Cawdell Chartered Accountant and a Director with Lindum Group will give a presentation on the Corporate Social Responsibility of a local construction company including; * A brief overview of the Lindum Group and its 13 construction based divisions. * What its Corporate Social Responsibility Policy is. * How Lindum Group apply CSR. * Involvement of staff. * Involvement in the Community. * Innovation and sustainability. * Raising achievement of young people in local schools. * Lindum waste recovery activities. The talk will give one company's perspective on CSR. It is intended to stimulate debate and discussion on CSR and broader issues of profitability, eco-efficiency and philanthropy. Further Information Is Provided Below... The seminar series is intended to develop lively discussion from multidisciplinary perspectives based around the following theme. 'Current Policy and Practice within Organisational Development: Can we develop effective partnerships between business and academia?' The second seminar will held be on Wednesday 4th April where John Cawdell from the Lindum Group will be presenting a business response to the topic 'Responsible Organisation?' This second seminar in the series will be taking place between 4:30 - 6:00pm in the CO-OP Lecture theatre. Refreshments will be served prior to the seminar at 4:00pm in the Atrium and there will be opportunity for open-ended discussion following the seminar.
