Senior Research Assistant, Grade 5 (£22,508 - £27,383)

 

The records management research team within the School's Information, Knowledge and Systems Research Group has a full-time post to work on an exciting e-records project funded by the Arts & Humanities Research Council to December 2009. 'Accelerating the pace of positive change in electronic records management (ERM)' will investigate issues and practical strategies by focusing on three facets of designing an architecture for ERM (people, work processes and systems and technologies). Up to 250 people from different disciplines will participate via electronic Delphi studies, face-to-face colloquia and a blog. Two international experts will act as advisors.  The successful candidate must have a relevant qualification, knowledge and experience in records management, research knowledge and expertise as well as excellent interpersonal and IT skills.  The post is based at the university in Newcastle upon Tyne and the post holder must be flexible in terms of working hours and be willing to travel within the UK. They may be asked to teach on records management modules.
