We have a collection of seals in Sheffield (great or Royal seals in particular) that are fragmentary and are housed in unsuitable packaging. My question is how do organisations/institutions approach their own collections containing this material? Are you going down the line of preservation packaging with minimal "hands on" intervention, or what other methods and applications are you employing to repair your seals? Any information you can give will be greatly appreciated. Best wishes, Antony Oliver Conservator Please reply to : Conservation Unit Sheffield Archives 52 Shoreham Street Sheffield S1 4SP TEL : 0114 2039399 FAX : 0114 2030398 E - MAIL : [log in to unmask] _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ The information in this email is intended for the addressee(s) only.
