Adult and Community Services 

Information Access Officer 
37 hours per week
£25,437 - £26,928 per annum 

Location: Corporate Information Management Unit, County Hall, Spetchley Road. Worcester, WR5 2NP. 

Worcestershire County Council is looking for a self-motivated individual to work strategically with employees across the authority in managing the Council's response to information legislation enquiries. 

Educated to degree level, you will have significant experience of working in an information, policy or records field and a proven understanding of the Data Protection Act (DPA) and Freedom of Information Legislation (FoI) and their implications for public authorities. Qualifications in this area would be an advantage. 

You will have excellent communication skills and be well-organised in your work. Proven influencing skills will be important in this role, as will a strong regard for confidentiality and the ability to work well as part of a team. 

The duties will include responding to subject access requests, jointly developing policy and procedures to meet the demands of FoI and involvement in information sharing initiatives between the County Council and other organisations. You will report to the Corporate Information Manager and deputise as appropriate.
