Peter did indeed give a great talk... I think some of his work is taking
place at UCL.

There is a great deal of material out there on hypnosis and research into
it.

For example some of you may have seen the more four documentary, where a man
had an opperation while under hypnosis. You can veiw this online here:

It might help if you get intouch with the James Braid Society who are
interested in the use of Hypnosis for medical practice.

There are a number of places which run couses which are fully acredited to
get a full list, you should get in touch with the GHR (general hypnotherapy
register) or the Hypnotherapy Society. They will be able to fill in on any
other research.

I have heard of hypnosis reasearch for IBS and this is one of the links to
the research
