Subject: Survey

Dear All,

Emma Donaldson-Fielder is currently doing some research for the HSE
looking at management competencies in dealing with stress at work. She
has asked if this weblink could be passed on to as many people as
possible.

In the first phase of the research, around 400 employees and managers
were interviewed to identify manager behaviours that were examples of
good and bad stress management. From the interview data a 'competency
framework' was created that identifies 19 behavioural themes that are
reported to be important for managing stress in staff.

The next step is to refine this framework, by finding out which of the
behaviours are the most important. In order to do this, a questionnaire
that measures the behaviours has to be developed. An initial draft
questionnaire has been developed, and they need as many people as
possible to complete it. If it is of interest and you have a few minutes
to spare, please could you visit the link at:

<http://www.surveymonkey.com/s.asp?u=708593210227>
If you have even more time to spare, then perhaps you could also pass it
on as appropriate for additional colleagues etc to complete. This is a
valuable piece of research which will have important ramifications, so
it would be great to give it as much support as possible,

Many thanks. Jo
