 Dear all,
Thanks for your responses, both read last night, & unread today.
Some progress has been made. Following is an extract from
www.mine-explorer.co.uk (Miles Moulding):-

14/02/2007: PANDORA ACCESS (Andy Cornford)

PUBLIC ACCESS IS COMPLETELY PROHIBITED TO THIS MINE AS OF 12 FEB 2007. EVEN
IF YOU ARE INSURED, THE FARMERS UNION OF WALES HAS ADVISED THE LAND OWNER IN
THERE WORDS "CLAIMS CULTURE CLIMATE", NOT TO ALLOW ACCESS VIA THIER LAND.
YOU HAVE BEEN WARNED!!

19/02/2007: ACCESS (Andy Cornford)

ACCESS IS ALSO PROHIBITED VIA THE PONTIFLEX LEVEL AS THE MINE SYSTEM GOES
UNDER THE FOREMENTIONED LAND OWNERS PROPERTY. AS THIS IS NOW OFFICIAL ANYONE
TRESSPASSING OR CAUGHT ENTREING PANDORA COULD FIND THEMSELVES IN HOT WATER.
FUW HAVE STRNGLY APPOSED ACCESS.

Following on from this, it would appear that non of the following
Farmers Union of Wales offices know anything about it:- Abergavenny (SE
Wales), Aberystwyth (Head Office), or Ruthin, (County Office, Denbigh).
The latter passed me on to Llanwrst area Office. The person there was not
available, so I shall contact him tonight, by e-mail, & follow up tommorrow
by 'phone call.

At least, with great relief, I can say the rest of Wales would
appear to be safe, at least for the time being, & presumably England.

More updates tomorrow evening, then out of touch for 2 days.

Yours in a Hole,

Mole.

Subject: LOSS OF MINE ACCESS

Rumour has it, from a web page, that the National Farmers Union of Wales
has recommended to all its clients, that access to mines on their land
should be prevented, with the result that there is now no access to Pandora
Mine, nr Llanwrst.
Can any one substantiate this, & put me in the right direction as to how
to contact the decision makers?
I shall be contacting, & may be visiting the offices of the Farmers
Union of Wales in Abergavenny tommorrow ( Tues 27th Feb, to see what I can
learn.)

John W Hine, (Mole), Chairman, Welsh Mines Society.
