While we are on the subject of self-service issues, I wondered if any other 
sites had experienced problems with 3M V-series models 7410 and 7420. We 
have recently had two of the latter installed (RFID scanning plus optional 
barcode scanning) and are experiencing a persistent problem with "checking 
your account" messages which put the process on hold. (This is after RFID 
scanning of valid rather invalid smart cards.) Mark Denham (Glasgow) has 
pointed out to me a similar problem reported on the innopacusers list and I 
have an active call receiving attention from the III helpdesk. 3M are also 
investigating, but I wondered if anyone else had had trouble of a similar 
nature.

BTW our old, but recently renovated, 6210 is working normally, not 
perfectly, but normally.
