Colleagues may be interested to read a paper by Piers Steel "The Nature of Procrastination: A Meta-Analytic and Theoretical Review of Quintessential Self-Regulatory Failure', which was published in January this year in the Psychological Bulletin Vol. 133(1), Jan. 2007, pp. 65-94. Steel reviewed scores of previous research papers on procrastination, some going back to the 1930s, to seek common themes. I have produced a booklet for students that summarises the results of Steel's work, plus added some additional perspectives on this topic from other commentators. If anyone is interested to see this, it can be found on the University of Bradford, School of Management, Effective Learning Service website at http://www.brad.ac.uk/acad/management/external/resourceseffectivelearningservice.php Once onto the webpages, scroll down & look for 'Effective Learning Workbooks' and you will find it under 'Time Management'.
