What about a vario, or as T-Mobile call them an MDA? Their web service is reasonable. PDA + 2MP camera, MP3, small but clickable keyboard (+hand write recognitions etc) I use all of that except the type talk, but I'll ask my daughter about that as she may know - just come on skype chat and says not yet usable with type talk, but is usable with "tty" (which I gather is an American version of type talk. http://forum.xda-developers.com/archive/index.php/t-273619.html tells you more. Can use skype and msn too (assuming decent signal) of course. You do need a Bluetooth GPS unit as well. Assuming you are still working, then access to work should pay for you - I think! I want one gizmo. I have a Palm Vx, still working well but getting old. I have a Nokia for text messages (very basic no bells or whistles) I get lost when travelling so want to get a GPS I have just started using Type Talk via the RNID which is fabulous. Now you can use it via a mobile but it seems that the Nokia 9210i is the only compatible mobile, its heavy but has keyboard and would mean I could telephone anywhere not just from home using the landline Geemark Phone. So I want a mobile/diary/GPS gizmo. Does anyone know if the Nokia 9210i can do GPS, the new Palm Treo can, but I don't know if it can do Typetalk. Of course there is my laptop but it's a bit big for the front of the car and I have no idea how I would make calls etc away from my wireless/broadband at home. Any ideas Cherry
