KRISTO ?AGOR is a German dramatist, director and journalist. He was
born in 1976 in Stadtoldendorf, grew up in Lübeck, and now lives and
works in Berlin. Kristo wrote his first play ('Es geht uns gut') in
1993, and since then fifteen of his plays have been published by
Gustav Kiepenheuer. They have been produced in many cities in Germany
and abroad, including Munich, Cologne, Weimar, Bremen, Mannheim,
Sydney, Tallinn and now Edinburgh.

'Hautkopf' (2005) combines lively social satire and entertainment with
a more serious treatment of right-wing violence and youth crime. It
focuses on the teenager Tobias and his attempt to break away from his
bourgeois upbringing. Tobias? teenage rebellion struggles to get off
the ground, as his father - a liberal politician - simply wants him
to be happy. Driven to desperate measures, Tobias finds a form of
activity that his father could never accept: he joins a group of
right-wing extremists. The skinheads? violence is juxtaposed with
scenes satirizing the hypocritical, media-obsessed society they have
rejected. Will Tobias? father rise to the challenge, or will Tobias?
radical transformation prove irreversible?
