don't know whether anyone with an interest in africa, as many recent posts have been about, knows about aluka.
the issue is that I access it only because I have access to the JSTOR sandbox, both of which in themselves are worth exploring for information and ICT in third world or international development, but if you don't have JSTOR access, I'm not sure what you will get with www.aluka.org - this is part of the problem of being in education, you don't know what the person in the cafe has until you go and find out
