Recruitment for Head of Collections & Research and Head of Reader & Customer Services. 
We are looking for people to head two new departments at the National Archives.  These are  be: 

    a.. Collections & Research: a small team of around 10 people, focusing on strategic relationships with both the academic sector and government, aimed at ensuring that we are collecting the right records to illustrate today's decisions for tomorrow's researchers, and also aimed at working with the academic sector to use effective research to drive our work 
    b.. Reader & Customer Services: a large team of around 90 people, leading the delivery of our services to customers/ readers both onsite and online, including both the day-to-day support for our customers/ readers, and also the longer term work to develop the right services and research tools and guides to meet their needs going forward. 
These two teams will work very closely together.

Head of Collections and Research. £50,000 - £60,000 (Band H). This a full-time, fixed-term appointment for 3 years, with the possibility of extension or permanency.
