Ref: MUS0112 Berkshire Record Office is looking for a qualified conservator to undertake repair work and packaging for the nationally important archive of Broadmoor Hospital. This post has been funded by The Wellcome Trust's Research Resources in Medical History scheme. Work will include paper repair and repairs to book covers as well as cleaning and packaging. The Record Office is managed by Reading Borough Council on behalf of the 6 district councils in Berkshire, and is based in a new building a short walk from Reading town centre.
