I am running the above as a series of seminars which would be of use to actors considering cross-over careers in Hollywood and/or Hollywood-financed films.

The seminars would focus upon the extent to which adaptation is necessary, drawing upon case histories from both old and new Hollywood. For instance, why was it necessary for Hugh Laurie to Americanise his accent so as to conform for the lead role in `House`?

Referencing some of the stars of the 40s and 50s will be via CD using exclusive stills of the stars in varying stages of `makeover` and, as Sandra Shevey, who runs the workshops, knew many of them personally, the sessions have the benefit of insight and personal reminiscence.

Sandra Shevey,BA has been profiling Hollywood since 1968 and has interviewed most of the great actors, directors and writers of the golden age  through the 70s.

Fee is neg.

NB  This talk is not venue-linked and you must book Sandra as a speaker or to run a workshop.
