University of Birmingham School of Mathematics Lecturer / Senior Lecturer - Statistics Applications are invited for a Lecturer / Senior Lecturer with research interests in any area of Statistics. You must have a proven record of research and a strong commitment to teaching. The successful candidate will be expected to expand and/or complement the present research area, develop research collaboration inside and outside the School and /or University, and assist in the design, development and delivery of modules in Statistics. To be considered for an appointment at Senior Lecturer level, you will demonstrate an ability to lead further developments of Statistics both in terms of the research activities and teaching developments. Starting salary for a Lecturer appointment in the range of £32,795 to £39,160 a year (potential progression on performance once in post to £44,074). Senior Lecturer appointment in the range of £40,335 to £46,758 a year (potential progression on performance once in post to £49,607). The successful candidate will be appointed at an appropriate grade depending on experience and qualifications. This position is available from September 2007.
