Dear All Here at Exeter we have a form for reporting racial incidents but it is rarely used and needs updating Working with the Students Guild we are in the process of setting up an anti racism support group to work with students who are the recipients of racism - I wonder if other Universities have done this? I would also be really grateful if someone could share the actual process of how they record incidents, what exactly happens to the information We have a recently relaunched network of harassment advisors and updated policy on harassment/bullying and of course the advisors have been picking up a number of instances of racial harassment and we are trying to work out how they all fit together Racism is a very real issue in the South West with the greater visibility and possible isolation of BME students and staff (alongside a sense in which 'it is not an issue here') and consequently particularly important that we have a very visible and robust system/procedures Thanks Kate.
