Hi there Abhinay,
What do you mean by 'better'? I wouldn't have expected the difference between the SPECT and PET templates to significantly affect the spatial normalisation of low-resolution I-123 SPECT. 
Is the distribution of your I-123 ligand very different to the FDG PET or HMPAO SPECT templates? If so, you may benefit from generating your own template - if you have enough I-123 scans.

Hello Everyone,
 
Issue:-Spatially normalization of the SPECT images of radio-ligand I-123 in AD patient and HC subject.
Results:The result of Spatial normalization using PET template is better than using the SPECT template.
Reasons that I think:-SPECT images on which I am working on are not clear and very hazy and the SPECT template gives a clear shape
of the brain as compared to PET template, so in my case PET template suited the better...I can be wrong!!
 
Could any one please provide any other probable reasons for it?
