The MLA Division for the English Renaissance Excluding Shakespeare 
invites papers for a session on  "Renaissance Drama Excluding the 
Public Theatre: University, Closet, Court"  at MLA 2007 (27-30 
December in Chicago). 

How does coterie drama in private venues create its own theatrical 
language and conventions?

What options does its amateur status enable?
