Gosh this discussion is a keeper.

The interesting thing about this list is the variety of the subscribers. The academic vs paractitioner divide has already been described as artificial, as individual roles (at least the roles individuals have held historically) often cross this boundary. It has also been suggested that there are other roles, including those working in policy, representatives of NGO's etc. Oh, and the public/s.

It's a complex landscape.

Perhaps our work should make the most of this terrain, and make an effort to build networks of activity that include all these roles? It's not a question of backing the winner, but collaborating well.
