Some time ago I mentioned that the RAF Museum is developing a major permanent exhibition at its Cosford site. The National Cold War Exhibition will be officially opened next Wednesday and opens to the public the following day. To mark the opening of the exhibition we are holding a one-day conference on Tuesday 13 March at Cosford - Speakers include Professor Peter Hennessey on the Cold War: the Secret State and Dr Michael Kandiah on the impact of the Cold War on British domestic politics, as well as official historians. Further details are available at http://www.rafmuseum.org.uk/cosford/cold-war/conference.cfm I'd be grateful if you would draw this to the attention of any of your colleagues and readers who may be interested. The exhibition also has a dedicated website www.nationalcoldwarexhibition.org.uk <http://www.nationalcoldwarexhibition.org.uk/> which contains much of the text and graphics from the exhibition and will offer the opportunity to download podcasts (known as "Cold-casts") and view lessons in an on-line classroom.
