The Online Consensus Survey is running from

Wednesday, 10th January 2007 to Friday, 2nd February 2007

The aim of the survey is to identify those questions which are most important for deciding whether a woman should receive midwife-led or obstetric-led care.

The Antenatal Care Assessment Tool survey is now live.   You can access it at http://www.surveyconsole.com/console/TakeSurvey?id=292134

The survey will be online until the 2nd February 2007.

The National Collaborating Centre for Women’s and Children’s Health (NCC-WCH) is developing an Antenatal Care Assessment Tool. This national tool will be used by midwives at a woman’s first antenatal appointment in order to identify women who may need obstetric rather than midwife-led care.  The development of an agreed and validated tool, which could be used nationally, will be beneficial to both pregnant women and the professionals caring for them.

The Antenatal Care Assessment Tool Survey is the first of two rounds of consensus work to develop the tool. Following the on-line survey, a conference will be held on 14th March 2007 in London to develop further consensus. This conference will decide the final content of the tool based on the findings of the survey.

Conference

If you would like to apply to attend the consensus conference on 14th March, please go to http://www.surveyconsole.com/console/TakeSurvey?id=293123

The conference will be free to attend and travel expenses will be paid. Lunch and refreshments will be provided throughout the day.

As conference spaces are limited, delegates will be selected from those who have registered an interest in attending to ensure that we get a wide range of stakeholders and a representative geographical spread. On the application form, we ask you to provide details of your interest in, and experience of, maternity services.  You are strongly encouraged to take part in the survey before applying for the conference.

Successful applicants will be contacted during the week of 19th February 2007.
