**Apologies for cross-posting** UKeiG Course: eInformation for e-Science to be held in the Main Library Training Room, University of Birmingham Tuesday, 24th April 2007, 9.30 - 16.30 Course Outline This practical one day training event is designed to provide Information Professionals with an introduction on resources and services for Science. Support for scientific research often entails dealing with a complex number of disciplines (from bio-infomatics to earth sciences to physics); a vast array of activities (from computational systems, scientific instruments and databases to sensor networks) and use of a broad collection of resources (from journal literature to reprints). Keeping up to date can be a full time job. This course has been designed to bring you up to speed with new resources, critique existing ones and highlight developments (including e-Science) within this ever changing field.
