This one day course provides an introduction to the concepts
and practice of knowledge management.
Information audit – to enable knowledge transfer –
20th February
This practical, hands-on course provides a thorough grounding
in planning, managing and carrying out audits and looks at how different
techniques can be used to tackle different business challenges.
MANAGING AND WORKING IN LIBRARY AND INFORMATION SERVICES
Adding value: understanding the business background and
presenting business information – 8th February
In this new basic level course, the principles of adding value
to international business research by understanding the business concepts that
lie behind the research and ways of presenting the results will be examined in
detail.
Building the brand: marketing and customer collaboration for
information services – 13th February
This intensive one-day course explores the various ways you can
build on your brand, raise your profile, go beyond customer satisfaction and
inexpensively market your Information Service.
INFORMATION ARCHITECTURE AND TAXONOMY
Faceted taxonomies – 15th February
In a faceted classification organizations identify the main
criteria by which their people search for information, and build a small set of
key words for each criteria.
