The return of a popular course, open to library and information workers in all sectors and at all levels - all those interested in developing their professional skills and moving on in their careers.

Programme for the day:

• Fionna Black, Information Manager for Glasgow University Careers Service, will speak on regional opportunities and practical CV writing
• Val Skelton & Belinda Blaswick, TFPL, will report the results of a project on future information roles
• Val and Belinda will also lead a workshop session on New Year's resolutions for information professionals
• Liz McPartlin, Candidate Support Officer, outlines the CILIP Framework of Qualifications
• Isabel Hood, Career Development Group President, offers tips and techniques for portfolio planning and composition
• Career case studies: a panel of library and information professionals from Scotland share experiences from their own careers in a variety of sectors
