Just a note to let you all know about a new book that has just recently been
published by Chandos Publishing that may be of interest to some of you.  
A Handbook of Ethical Practice: A Practical Guide to Dealing With Ethical
Issues in Information and Library Work is written by David McMenemy, Alan
Poulter and Paul F. Burton of the University of Strathclyde in Glasgow.

The text is aimed at both students of library and information studies and
practitioners.  The focus is on a discussion of the ethical issues facing
library and information professionals, and a significant component is
devoted to the use of case studies to aid understanding of the issues.
Topics include ethical codes, intellectual property issues, freedom of
