***Apologies for cross-postings*** The following post is currently being advertised Medical Education Information Specialist, Royal College of Physicians of London Full-Time Post - Salary: £22,839 - £25,698 per annum, depending on skills We are looking for an experienced information scientist or librarian to manage the day-to-day operations of the Jerwood Medical Education Resource Centre and to act as a first point of contact for visitors to the College's Education Department. You must be able to combine relevant library experience with a qualification in librarianship or information science to provide a proactive and user-focused service. Your information and knowledge management skills will be required in helping to develop and maintain a taxonomy of medical education subject terms and applying these terms in electronic catalogues, virtual learning environments and online resource depositories. You will also be asked to carry out literature searches and critically evaluate information you find. To succeed, you will need to be a confident communicator with good organisational and planning skills, the ability to manage multiple tasks, and a keen eye for detail.
