(with apologies for cross-posting) Dear all, Have you ever: -Wanted to know more about what Open Access is? -Wondered how institutional repositories can make a real difference for your institution? -Been curious about achieving successful cultural change to embed them within normal work practices? -Wanted an opportunity to network with people in your region tackling similar issues? Then why not come along to a SHERPA Plus Road-show! As part of the SHERPA Plus project, the SHERPA team are holding a series of half day road-show events across the UK. In these half day sessions speakers from the SHERPA organisation will explore various key issues surrounding Open Access, institutional repositories, scholarly publication and authors' rights. These events will likely be of interest to repository managers, librarians, academics or anyone engaged in supporting or working in the field of scholarly publication As well as sharing experiences garnered from their various projects and extensive network of partner institutions, there will be an opportunity to hear about the latest developments in the SHERPA suite of supporting websites including OpenDOAR, SHERPA/RoMEO and JULIET. There will be an opportunity to engage in informed debate with the team members present, as well as to share practical advice with other interested parties in attendance. There is no cost associated with attendance at these events, although due to venue space restrictions places available are limited. Refreshments will also be available during the events.
