The German Department is pleased to be able to offer a PhD scholarship in any area of German studies, but preference may be given to a student wishing to undertake a research project on an aspect of German cinema. The successful candidate will receive an annual grant of approximately £10,100 (subject to annual review in line with AHRC awards) and will further be paid for up to 4 hours teaching per week in term time (worth approximately £2200). Fees (at the rate payable by Home/EU students) will also be waived for a 3-year period from the point of registration.
